Is my metatarsal broken?

i was playing manhunt last night and ended up jumping from about 3 feet up. i landed on my feet but i got the most extreme jolt of pain through my feet. i walked it off but now the top of my foot is a little blue and it hurts to walk... if my metatarsal is broken what would they do for that? i herd it heals pretty quickly but do i still need a cast?
